You Too Should Join Some Piper Meridian Training Courses

By Tanisha Berg

Many people dream of learning to fly, a lucky few actually do. Piper Meridian training is a unique way of seeing the earth from above. It is easier if one has their own plane but not essential. All instructors love what they do and are more than willing to pass that opportunity on to someone else.

Those pilots that have already obtained their license will sometimes need to take refresher courses. Some that are offered cover Cockpit Resource Management and Turbine Transition. The first can be done during one day and will normally take about six hours to compete. The Turbine Transition is for those that have upgraded and involves on how to operating and maintain this engine. Basic engine theory will be discussed with all limitations and terminology as well as the history of turbines. This will take about eight hours and can be completed within one day.

To become a pilot one must have some knowledge of aviation as well as some science of flying. One will need to know the equipment that you will be using and know all rules and regulations. You need to be competent and not take any chances to become a part of the pilot community.

The amount of runway needed to take off is about 2.438 feet and to land it will need about 2.110 feet. It is able to climb about 1.556 feet per minute and within 19 minutes reaches its normal altitude. Its basic weight which includes the crew is about 3.436lbs but excludes the fuel. It can hold up to 170 gallons of fuel once filled.

All Federal Aviation Regulations that relate to what privileges and limitations as well as flying operations will be covered. One will need to be able to fill out an accident report and sent it off to the National Transportation Safety Board. One will need to know how to use all Aeronautical Information Manuals and advisory newsletters.

One will need to be confident when flying close to the ground and circling a certain location. Slow flying can cause stalling and one will need to keep a clear head and correct this while starting the engine again. Having the ability to fly and control using basic instruments only will also need to be shown.

Having the ability to fly in the dark will also be tested. Taking off and landing as well as navigating is not as easy as during the day. That is why it is essential that one can fly on instruments alone. All emergency operations will be discussed in flight and how your decision and handling will affect you and the passengers.

Pre-flight is an important part of this learning process and how one can obtain certain information regarding certain things. This will include how long the runways are and which distance is required for your specific plane you will be flying. The planning for each flight one takes as well as the speed and distance and how to change flight plans if delays happen. This training is a perfect way to see what the earth looks like from above. It is a sight everyone should be able to gaze upon.
